Along the route you will pass through the characteristic villages of Maniago, famous all over the world for its cutlery production, of Toppo, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, of Gemona del Friuli and of Cividale del Friuli, listed among the UNESCO heritage sites.

Day 1: Arrival in Sacile
Individual arrival in Sacile. Once settled in, you can dedicate yourself to visiting this town crossed by the waters of the Livenza River with its Venetian atmosphere that has earned it the nickname ‚Garden of the Serenissima´.
Day 2: Sacile - Maniago
(approx. 37 km)
After breakfast you will set off towards the Pordenone foothills, home to the Palù di Livenza, a UNESCO heritage site, and then to the town of Polcenigo, famous for the art of basket-making. Rich in buildings that testify to its long history, Polcenigo is dominated by the waters of the Livenza and the nearby Gorgazzo springs. You will then proceed to Aviano with its namesake castle dating back to the 10th century. The route will offer spectacular views of the mountains of the piedmont and will lead you to the vicinity of Malnisio, a hamlet of Montereale Valcellina, where the first hydroelectric power station of the Venezie is located, today transformed into a technological museum. You will finally reach Maniago, the city of knives, destination of today‘s stage.
Day 3: Maniago - Gemona
(approx. 48 km)
Today you will cycle to the village of Fanna, home to the Madonna di Strada, one of the oldest Marian shrines in Friuli. The route will then lead you to Cavasso Nuovo, home of the PDO red onion, and to Meduno, gateway to the Meduna and Tramontina Valleys. You will then continue to Toppo, which with its houses and gardens is among the most beautiful villages in Italy and you will cycle between Travesio, Valeriano and Pinzano along the Tagliamento river. After passing Trasaghis, one of the municipalities to which Lake Cavazzo belongs, you will reach Gemona via the Braulinis bridge.
Day 4: Gemona - Cividale
(approx. 40 km)
After breakfast, leave the town of Gemona del Friuli in the direction of Artegna, a locality characterised by medieval streets and the majestic Savorgnan d‘Artegna Castle. You will cycle through the Friulian countryside through Magnano in Riviera and Borgo Urana and then continue towards Tarcento and in the direction of Savorgnano del Torre, until reaching Povoletto, where the hills begin to become gentler. The route, which passes through Grions del Torre and skirts Bottenicco, ends in Cividale del Friuli, today‘s destination.
Day 5: Cividale - Gorizia
(approx. 34 km)
Today‘s stage will take you to San Giovanni al Natisone, from where you can already catch a glimpse of Monte Quarin at the foot of which lies Cormons, a small town of Austro-Hungarian origin. From here you will enter the Friuli Colli Orientali wine zone and the Collio area. You will cycle towards Capriva del Friuli, with its Castle of Spessa, passing the Preval nature oasis and Villa Russiz. You will finally reach Gorizia, European Capital of Culture 2025 together with Nova Gorica.
